Hampden I (AD834 VN-) crashed near Loudeac on 1941-04-29

On Monday, 28 April 1941, (a part of) the aircraft of the 50 squadron (RAF), took off for a mission to La Rochelle from a station (airfield) in or near Lindholme.
One of the crew members was Sergeant J E Martin. He departed for his mission at an unknown time.
He flew with a Hampden (type I, with serial AD834 and code VN-). His mission and of the other crew members was planned for Tuesday, 29 April 1941.

Handley page hampden AD834 mission was French coastal run to drop mines, not as documented on your website to holland. Initial target was larochelle but due to fog secondary target at Lorient was targeted. Oil leak lead to fire/engine failure and the plane crashed somewhere near loudeac. Two crew killed two bailed out, Pilot evaded capture. Co-pilot/navigator captured due to broken leg when parachuting to safety. I hope this is of help to your database.
