I have visited Point de Hoc with my daughters and 9 grandchildren and told them the story (whilst they say in a bomb crater,) of the bravery
Of the American Rangers and Royal Navy that momentous day.
I also had the privalige of attending the parade last the Cenataph in London on remembrance day .

I have read that his craft contained rockets to fire the ropes up the cliff face and machine guns and also pigeons !!!
The film longest day gives a good insight into what happened on the beach that day.
How I would like to bring American Rangers into that same beach to have an insight of what it would have been like.like my dad done
On that day.
Once again
Thank you
Kind Regards
