WWII veteran Pasquale "Patsy" Devivo gets a kiss on both cheeks after receiving the French Legion of Honor medal from his nephew Michael Shasha in a brief ceremony Monday, December 19, 2016 at Bride Brook Health and Rehab in Niantic. Devivo, who served in the 305th Combat Engineer Battalion, landed at Utah Beach in Normandy, France on August 6, 1944 and fought through France until VE Day in 1945.
