2nd Armored Division (USA) HQ near Hornburg

The HQ of the 2nd Armored Division (USA) was in or near Hornburg

They were one of the very few US units to wear camouflage uniforms in Europe. The experiment was discontinued because of the heavy friendly fire casualties by nervous GI's that shot at anything camo because they thought it was a German.
