Attached to the 501st Eng. L. Pon. , 1111 Eng, III Corp ( 1st & 2nd Bridge Platoons)
After the breakthrough to the Rhine River on the VII Corps Front there was such a great need for Bailey Equip. the 2 Bridge Platoons carrying 260 ' DD Bridge were temporarily attached to the 501st Engr. L. Pon., the 2nd Bridge Platoon until 22 March.
