On 1943-09-20, Pilot T S Turek (Pilot Officer, RAF) with an unknown servicenumber, flew a Typhoon Ib with serial JP745 PR-L for this duty: Rhubarb. His mission was not completed. Circumstances of the aircraft loss: Took off during the afternoon of the 20th September on a Rhubarb operation. Hit by flak and ditched in the Channel. Rescued two days later. This aircraft was a part of squadron no. 609. The location for the map is English Channel, United Kingdom. Circumstances at the end of this mission for Turek: he died, but circumstances of death are unknown. There is no commemoration location known.
