Alt Name: --. Opened: 1916. Status in 1944: RNAS Seaplane Base. HMS Osprey. Current use: Disused. Remarks: RN. Closed in early 1999. At that time it had a short runway (helo station), a large number of buildings, and large parking aprons. By 2001 the tank farm was demolished and the hangar buildings were in process of demolition. The site is now much reduced but still appears active - the short runway is marked closed but has been repainted and moved counter clockwise.
