Alt Name: Aberbrothock. Opened: 1940. Status in 1944: RN. HMS Condor. No 2 Observers School, Deck Landing Training School, Naval Air Signals School. Current use: Airfield. Remarks: Now known as RM Condor (previously HMS Condor in Fleet Air Arm days). Still complete and semi active. The runways are intact along with the tower and hangars, all extensively upgraded recently. The airfield is much as the FAA left it with the dummy deck still visible. The only major additions added to the airfield have been the Ski-slope, Armoury and a Water tower. The centre of the main runway was recently resurfaced to allow fixed wing traffic.
