The location of his grave: Plot H, Row 26, Grave 27
My name is Rich Brown and I am the second cousin of 2nd Lt. Edward B. Zielke. (Plot H Row 26 Grave 27) First of all, this is ABSOLUTELY amazing and thank you for doing this. Thank you for honoring everyone in this Cemetery.
I am attaching a picture of my second cousin (he was known as Billy) from a picture taken in Chicago, IL. right before he was deployed overseas. It was a going away party for him. Also, I am attaching a picture of his grave marker that the cemetery sent me last year. Note that his death was June 10, 1944. I can't wait to show my mother the exact spot he was buried at! I am not sure if you have the exact gps coordinates of his grave...if you do, can you please email them to me, I would love to punch in the coordinates in my Garmin gps and see the exact distance from Chicago to the actual grave and also show my mom. My mom was 10 years old when he was deployed. She just turned 81 July 1st. She was close to Billy. She remembers Billy telling my mom and her sister that when he comes home they were going to have dinner at a restaurant in Chicago...and of course it never happened...sad!!
Again...THANK YOU from the bottom of my and our family's heart!!!
All my best - Rich
