Hello, I am a member of the French association Les Fleurs de la Mémoire, which goal is to honor the American soldiers who rest in the Normandy and Brittany American Cemeteries. Each member has the duty of visiting the grave of the soldier(s) he/she sponsors, and to honor his memory with a flower. Second Lieutenant Clair S. OLSON is one of the soldiers I'm proud of honoring every year, and I just wanted to let you know that he died on June 13, 1944 instead of January 7, 1945.
I am still investigating on what happened to him and will be glad to share any information I might have.
