Description
On 1942-02-12, Pilot R Marcinkus (Pilot Officer, RAF) with servicenumber 89580 flew a Hurricane IIc with serial BD949J for this duty: unknown operation. His mission was not completed. Circumstances of the aircraft loss: Executed by Gestapo March 1944 following the 'Great Escape' from Stalag Lugt lll, Sagen. This aircraft was a part of squadron no. 1.
